With the American Composers Project, Dana Zimbric and the California Chamber Orchestra celebrate 250 years of the American Spirit through music. The series is supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
This concert features the music of Aaron Copland. The program includes:

Barbara Harbach (b. 1946): "American Solstice" (2006)
Jack Jarrett (1934 - 1920): "Five Appalachian Folk Songs" (Katie Polit, soprano)
Samuel Barber (1910 - 1981): "Adagio for Strings"
