Bocón, a San Diego based theatre company, will present two free readings of the play "BRAT," written by Wendy Maples and directed by Carla Nell.
Struggling to find friends, dealing with a missing parent, and trying to find strength in community, "BRAT" is inspired by the true stories and interviews of military "brats." "BRAT" starts with the question “Where are you from?” and then leads us through snapshots of life as a military child moves from place to place on a journey of challenging experiences and discoveries.
San Diego Writers, Ink
San Diego Writers, Ink is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We offer classes, groups, workshops, readings and other literary events at The Ink Spot and other locations throughout San Diego County. Parking: Plenty of free parking near building, including parking lot just outside. Offices are upstairs from the Women’s History Museum. Hours: We are only open during events and classes. Please check our schedule. Most classes and events are held in the Ink Spot but some are held in other locations throughout San Diego, including the La Jolla Public Library and Lestat’s Coffee House. Please double-check where your event is being held.
