“MISERY” (1990. 107 min. R) - Rob Reiner delivers a white-knuckle, darkly humorous Hitchcockian chiller. An obsessed and entitled fan (Kathy Bates, in an Oscar-winning performance) “rescues “ her favorite novelist (James Caan) from a car crash — but holds him hostage when she learns his new book has killed off her favorite character!
