The Heritage of the Americas Museum is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a series of special Saturday events designed to engage visitors of all ages. Each Saturday features interactive cultural activities, including live Alpacas, Live Latin American snakes, traditional music and dance performances, hands-on art and craft workshops, and storytelling sessions highlighting the rich histories and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities. Throughout the month, guests can explore curated exhibits (including "The Lemon Grove Incident" an important desegregation movement in US History), participate in family-friendly scavenger hunts, and meet local artists and educators to learn more about heritage and traditions. The events create an immersive and educational experience, fostering community connection and a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultures represented throughout the Americas.

Heritage of the Americas Museum
The Heritage of the Americas Museum, located on the campus of Cuyamaca College in Rancho San Diego, Calif., invites visitors of all ages to experience a journey through time. Five wings divide the building into areas of Natural History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Art and Education. The museum is an educational and cultural center featuring the prehistoric and historic art, culture, and natural history of the Americas. Artifacts and art serve as a documentation of life and civilization throughout the ages. In the words of the Museum's founder, Bernard Lueck, "To be lost and never found is to be nothing." Through the discovery of these antiquities, mankind is educated and inspired. We invite you to venture into our wonderful world of discovery. Hours Tuesday through Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday: noon to 4 p.m. Closed Sunday, Monday and selected holidays Admission Admission fees pay for daily operation and educational programs. The museum is privately funded and receives no funds from the college or the state. Adults (18+)- $3.00 Adults (55+)- $2.00 Youth Under 17 (with adult) & Student of Cuyamaca-Grossmont College District (with ID)-Free
