Local Marine to Plead Guilty in Hamdania Murder Case

Tom Fudge : Tomorrow, P.F.C. John Jodka, a United States Marine, is expected to plead guilty to charges related to the death of an Iraqi man. Jodka and seven other Camp Pendleton-based marines have faced murder charges, though Jodka is expected to plead to lesser charges.

The eight marines are accused of dragging Hashim Ibrahim Awad from his home in Hamdania and shooting him to death. They’re accused of trying to cover up their crime by making it look like Awad was a violent insurgent.
