Tom Fudge: Chances are if you caught the news last night or early this morning, you've heard that Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer has been fired. Team president Dean Spanos cited a "dysfunctional situation" between the coach and general manager A.J. Smith. Schottenheimer and Smith had clashed during the team's 14-2 season that ended with a loss to the New England Patriots in the playoffs.
