Libby Sentence Commuted, Race in Schools, South Bay Development
This week, President Bush commuted the 30-month prison sentence of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, who was convicted of lying to federal prosecutors about his role in the leak of a CIA agent's identity.
Also, the Supreme Court recently decided to restrict the use of race in determining which school a student can attend. Will the decision lead to a decrease in diversity in our nation's public schools?
And, a massive bayfront development project in Chula Vista is in jeopardy. Could stalled labor negotiations bring an end to Gaylord Entertainment's plans to build a hotel and convention center in the South Bay?
