The San Diego Chargers begin their new season on Sunday, with a game against the Carolina Panthers. Expectations are high for the Chargers. Last year, they made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game, where they lost to the then-undefeated New England Patriots. A lot of people believe they would have won the game if they hadn't been plagued by injuries to key players. Those key players including LaDanian Tomlinson and quarterback Philip Rivers.
In fact, there was another key player who was injured during that game. You may not know that kicker Nate Kaeding had a fractured left leg. Even so, he completed four field goals against New England. We're going to talk football this hour, and we start by talking with Nate Kaeding, one of the top-ranked kickers in the game today.
