Maureen Cavanaugh : It seems supermarkets around San Diego took down their holiday decorations last month and immediately put up the red hearts, flowers and candy ads for Valentine's Days. That's because the V-day is big business for food shops, confectioners and restaurants.
It used to be the way to a man's heart was through his stomach. Now its seems that applies to everyone, regardless of gender. Gifts and treats like gourmet candies and desserts, and special wines all seem to make the heart grow fonder.
And Valentine's Day is also one of those rare times that busy couples actually have an excuse to treat themselves to a special dinner date. Today on our monthly food show, we'll be talking about interesting foods, desserts and treats to share with your honey this Valentine's Day.
