No Blackout For Chargers Game This Sunday

It isn't a sellout yet, but the Chargers football game against the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday will be televised locally.

The team reported that enough tickets had been sold to lift the NFL television blackout rule, which states that home games that are not sold out can't be televised in a team's market.

The highest-priced tickets and small numbers of random unsold seats are usually excluded from the policy. A limited number of club level tickets, and some returned unsold by the Chiefs, remain available.

The game will be televised by KFMB in San Diego and KCBS in Los Angeles. Three home games have been blacked out this season.

Fans are encouraged to avoid traffic congestion by using public transportation, and to bring a new unwrapped toy for the 20th annual Chargers Wives Toy Drive to benefit Marine Toys for Tots.

The Bolts trail the Chiefs by two games in the AFC West standings with four to play in the regular season.
