SpaceX To Try Again For Sea Landing Of Falcon Rocket Booster

The third time could be the charm as Elon Musk's SpaceX tries again to guide the booster stage of its Falcon 9 rocket to a soft landing on a seaborne barge.

Assuming the launch goes ahead as planned, SpaceX will make a third try of the tricky maneuver that has seen two past failures. The private space-launch operator is hoping that by perfecting the recovery of the booster stage it can reuse it for a future mission.

You can watch the launch, slated for 10:21 a.m. ET at the feed streaming above.

(Here's a look at the first two attempts, one in January and another in April.)

The main mission for the launch is to resupply the International Space Station, which is running low on supplies after a Russian cargo rocket went astray after liftoff in April.
