A third consecutive day of strong Santa Ana winds is in store for San Diego County Wednesday, meteorologists said.
The National Weather Service issueda red flag warning for inland valley and mountain areas until 6 p.m., saying the strong winds coupled with single- digit humidity levels could contribute to extreme wildfire behavior through Wednesday afternoon. A red flag warning is the weather service's most serious fire- related warning.
Sustained wind speeds Wednesday were expected to range from 5 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts up to 35 mph, according to the weather service.
