New York, Chicago, London, Paris — those are some of the cities that might come to mind when you think about great architecture. But this weekend, there's a unique opportunity to add San Diego to that list.
The San Diego Architectural Foundation is hosting the fifth annual OH! San Diego. OH! stands for open house, but over the next three days, much more than houses will be open for tours.
More than 90 buildings of every generation and type are available to explore, and it's all free.
The tour is spread over various neighborhoods and regions including Balboa Park, Bankers Hill, Downtown, East Village, Barrio Logan, Point Loma, La Jolla and Coronado.
There are also other activities, including a photo competition.
Maxine Ward with the San Diego Architectural Foundation and Elsa Sevilla of the San Diego History Center joined Midday Edition on Thursday with a preview.
