Names of Marines Killed in Helicopter Crash Released

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif. (February 24, 2012) - Two helicopters belonging to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing collided along the California/Arizona border killing seven Marines Wednesday, February 22 around 8:00 p.m. The following six Marines were assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 469, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and based at Camp Pendleton. , 37, of Montville, Conn., commissioned in the Marine Corps May 24, 1996 and served as an AH-1W Cobra pilot and Executive Officer of HMLA-469. Budrejko served three deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, 2004 and 2005, and one deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2010. Anderson served three deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
