Three International Security Assistance Force service members were killed in an insurgent attack in Afghanistan on Sunday, according to an ISAF Casualty report.
Military officials have told NBC News the three soldiers killed were American.
Reuters reports the three soldiers died in Paktia province, which is in eastern Afghanistan.
The Pentagon has not yet released the names of the service members who died.
