Camp Pendleton-Based Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing In Los Angeles County

A Marine Apache helicopter based in Camp Pendleton made an emergency landing Monday on a dry spot in the Los Angeles River in South Gate.

Ismael Ververa of the South Gate Police Department told CNN that officers responding to the incident found the helicopter landed safely and no injuries were reported.

Ververa said the two pilots noted that they "discovered electrical issues with the aircraft."
