Residents of an affluent neighborhood in Philadelphia are demanding that police oust a growing population of homeless people from the local park. They claim that the homeless are making the park unsanitary and dangerous. But advocates for the homeless say that police intervention is unnecessary.
Laura Weinbaum, of Project H.O.M.E., a homeless advocacy organization, and Christine Flowers, a Philadelphia lawyer who advocates for greater police supervision of the park and the homeless, debate the issue.
