The one-day event showcases performing arts with presentations of exhilarating folk and ethnic dances of the different regions of the Philippines by SAMAHAN’s graceful dancers accompanied with live music of the SAMAHAN Rondalla and Kulintang (gong) Music Ensembles. Every folk dance and ethnic ritual is performed in colorful, beautifully crafted traditional and ethnic attires that are particularly worn for each repertoire. Featured, as well, will be mainstream entertainment such as contemporary dances and vocals by invited local performers and martial arts exhibitions. Surfing Madonna Oceans Project is pleased to present “Save the Ocean” a juried regional show about our beautiful, fragile and fascinating world. 60+ artists from across California will be selected to showcase their work on the environmental theme during the month of October 2023 with the reception on Saturday October 14, 2023. Artists and Poets will be awarded with cash prizes for their exceptional work. The show will host all mediums of wall art including: painting, fabric, collage, assemblage and photography.
