The bar is located just across the street from the Central Library, and we will be on the second floor. Parking: Some street parking is available downtown, but we recommend utilizing the Central Library's Parking Garage, located on 11th Ave. Parking at the garage is free for 2 hours, with validation within the library. If you plan to use the garage, please remember to get your parking validated inside the library before walking to Storyhouse Spirits. The library will be closed by the time we finish!

Our CA communities need access to clean air and water, healthy food, safer, nontoxic products; and protection from exposures linked to breast cancer where we live, work, play, pray, and learn. Whether you are a member of the local community, or you work in the fields of medicine, policy, or labor, your voice is vital to the success of this project. Doors Open at 7 p.m. show starts at 7:30 p.m. No food is served, nor is outside food permitted. So please plan accordingly there are no reservations accepted, your ticket ensures you a seat, but does guarantee groups sitting together. We advise that you arrive early. There are tickets for inside and outside seating at separate price points. All tables seat 4, yet seating is all first come first served with no guarantee of sitting together as a group. The Temecula Wilburys showtribute is paid to one of the greatest collaborations ever seen in rock music. I mean, think about it......Jeff Lynne, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and of course Roy Orbison. If you are over 50, you spent quite a few years of your life listening and grooving to the great music created and performed by these gentlemen. The Temecula Wilburys show "book-ends" the show with songs from the wilburys grammy award winning first album. In between those "book ends" we fill the show with "sub-sets' of each of the artists. The songs are sooo.......nostalgic. You are guaranteed a few moments of the goosebumps that magically appear on your arms when you hear some of the songs that not too often performed in cover bands today. It's a 7 piece band with great harmonies and back up singers. The show does the wilburys......justice.

The Qualcomm Institute’s (QI) IDEAS series presents “Pigments of Imagination,” an interactive virtual reality experience that frames the creative process as a narrative relating the inner-workings of one’s unique imagination to the universe around us. It is an observation on the beauty, fear, adventure, sadness and loneliness of self-discovery and the artist’s ultimate recognition of process as goal, as told through the story of a small child’s journey to the moon. The installation is designed to reimagine the popular music video in a virtual space as a dynamic, emotionally engaging experience by exploring distinctive relationships between spatialization, audiovisual reactivity and interactivity, which allow for a narrative immersion that maintains a structured arc and conclusion but unique experience with each use. This piece features musical contributions from UC San Diego Music’s King Britt, Steph Richards and Zach Konick, and vocalist Nick Tolford. Singular virtual reality experiences will be offered in addition to the general presentation. Bios: Timothy Gmeiner is a San Diego, California-based interdisciplinary artist and music producer. He has toured internationally under the name “Ill Poetic” and garnered public acclaim for his releases from artists and publications such as Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and Portishead. Through his company SoundRzn Design, he has provided audio and visual services for artists, universities and companies of various industries including the San Diego Symphony, OWN and HBO. He has worked as the Assistant Director at QI’s Audio Spatialization Lab and is currently enrolled in UC San Diego’s Computer Music Ph.D. program, where he focuses on audiovisual relationships in virtual and physical spaces. Current projects and collaborations focus on spatialized and interactive compositions in virtual reality, audiovisual live performance and large-scale real-time reactive installations. Eito Murakami is a master’s student at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) at Stanford University. He graduated from UC San Diego with bachelor’s degrees in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts Music (ICAM) and Political Science/International Relations. Murakami is an electronic composer, performer, sound designer and virtual reality developer. By combining his classical music training with proficiency in audio and graphics software, he creates digital interfaces and instruments that promote intuitive musical performance. Specifically, he specializes in Unreal Engine to develop audiovisual infrastructure that allows multiplayer interactions in virtual 3D environments. Murakami is a former member of the Sonic Arts Research and Development group at QI.

Exposure Skate, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in north county San Diego, is hosting a free learn-to-skate clinic for women and nonbinary adults 18 and up on Saturday, June 24 from 3-5 p.m. at Encinitas Community Park. This monthly program, “Sesh(E),” features free skate instruction from local Olympic and pro skateboarders as well as opportunities to participate in acts of service. This month, the Exposure will be collecting canned goods to donate to the Community Resource Center’s Food and Nutrition Services. Participants will get the chance to win raffle prizes from Arbor Skateboards Garden of Life, HydroFlask and our Exposure merch. Those who are interested can register for free here.

Renowned Spanish director, writer, and actress Icíar Bollaín will visit UC San Diego as part of the James K. Binder Lectureship series. She is the recipient of numerous film awards, including best film for "Flowers from Another World" (Flores de otro Mundo) at the Cannes Film Festival and "Take My Eyes" (Te doy mis ojos) at the Spanish Academy Awards.
