It started out as a project that the guitarist/vocalist, Pete DeMarzo put together to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the tragic loss of the great Stevie Ray Vaughan. The plan was to do one show and one show only. After the event which took place on the anniversary, there were overwhelming requests by the true hearts SRV fans for more shows and the requests were filled. Twelve years later, Soul to Soul / The Stevie Ray Vaughan Experience is still performing to great appreciative audiences nationwide. The sole purpose of this project is to keep the music and memories of Stevie Ray Vaughan alive and well so that it may bring joy and happiness to the hearts of many. As Stevie would say, "Thank you so very much!" Pete Demarzo and his "Soul to Soul" band honor in this tribute perhaps one the America's greatest Texas Blues legends. SRV's style of guitar work is unique to the music world and has been the "flavor" of many rock and blues guitar followers. Guy’s "Damn Right Farewell" Tour, with special guest Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, will see The Americana Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award winner performing hits from throughout his career, in addition to his new #1 album, "The Blues Don’t Lie". Buddy Guy has received 8 GRAMMY Awards, a 2015 Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY Award, 38 Blues Music Awards (the most any artist has received), the Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement, a Kennedy Center Honor and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him #23 in its "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time."
