This Cleantech San Diego Education Series event offers an update on the cleantech sector in the San Diego region and the key technologies that will continue to drive the industry. The event will feature a series of panel discussions with industry experts exploring the status of existing technologies, conversations about cleantech policy drivers and what these investments mean for business, a forum for companies and startups to discuss strategies for partnerships, as well as a series of fast-paced pitch presentations from Southern California Energy Innovation Network (SCEIN) CEOs and founders describing their cutting-edge cleantech innovations. The event is free to Cleantech San Diego members and $75 for non-members.

Join the San Diego River Park Foundation this Earth Day weekend, April 21 - 23 to celebrate community, environmental stewardship, and connection to our namesake waterway with a FREE community mural opportunity in San Diego River's 52-acre hidden gem, Mission Valley Preserve. This multi-day event will be held along the San Diego River Bikeway in Cottonwood Grove, just west of the Sefton Park Baseball Fields. The mural will be led by San Diego River Park Foundation staff and volunteers, and the mural will be designed by local artist Helen T Kim. Activities include mural prepping, painting, and light gardening of the surrounding Cottonwood Grove area. We will also offer educational tours of the San Diego River at this time. We are looking for local artists, gardeners, volunteer leaders, families, friends, coworkers, clubs, classes, groups, and YOU help us celebrate the San Diego River with restoration of the Cottonwood Grove area and a new community mural! This event will be free but donations towards the San Diego River Park Foundation will be accepted. Come for a few hours or spend the entire day with us! What do military members do when they must deploy overseas, but don’t have anyone to care for their beloved pets while they’re away serving our country? That is where Dogs on Deployment comes in, a national non-profit that connects at-risk service members with volunteers willing to board their pet’s while they’re deployed. To celebrate Armed Forces Day, Dogs on Deployment invites you to our first-ever concert and comedy series. The event will feature live music from AMERICAN IDOL contestant and viral singer-songwriter, Haley Reinhart, and San Diego-local band, 3 Car Garage. Additionally, Ashley Gutermuth, military spouse and winner of the Seinfeld’s Challenge on the TONIGHT SHOW, and Mike Vinn, veteran and manager of The Comedy Store La Jolla, will perform stand up comedy acts.
