The annual "Marines in Flight" Art Contest is now accepting entries. The purpose of this Student Art Contest is to give students a platform to express their artistic and creative skills as they learn about U.S. and aviation history and the contributions, courage and sacrifices of the men and women who designed, built, flew and maintained these iconic aircraft as well as the missions they completed. All students in grades 6-12 in San Diego County plus all military dependents in grades 6-12 who reside in the Southwest District Awards will be made in two categories: Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12.
