The O’side Turkey Trot has been recognized nationally as one of the top trots in the county with a spectacular and sizzling fast downhill course featuring beach views over more than 50% of the course. Proceeds from the event benefit the Move Your Feet Before You Eat Foundation which is helping to solve the healthcare crisis one step at a time. In addition, the trot has raised over $370,000 for local non-profits that serve O’side residents. A unique feature of this trot is the age group awards are awarded in two categories; one category is for Oceanside Residents only and the other category is for runners that don’t live in Oceanside.   • Jed Fielding’s in-your-face street portraiture will take you right into his subjects' vivid lives. Getting in close range, his portraits allows us to feel these intimate interactions, moving beyond traditional photojournalism into personal encounters. His curious subjects reach for each other and for the photographer, too —at times it might feel like they’re reaching for us as well. In this exhibition, the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA) visitors will see early works by Fielding, in addition to sections focused on his work in Naples, Italy and with blind students in Mexico City. A publication will accompany the exhibition and be available for sale through MOPA’s store.
