Fresh off a pair of commanding Saturday night appearances at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Interpol returns for an expansive North American headline tour set to begin this summer. The newly announced run starts in late July with stops in 23 cities across North America for some of the band’s biggest shows to date at iconic venues, including a hometown headline festival appearance at CBGB Festival - Under the K Bridge in Brooklyn, The Bowl at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto, The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in San Diego, and The Salt Shed Fairgrounds in Chicago. Onstage in Indio, the band delivered sets that moved effortlessly between eras, with “Evil,” “Obstacle 1,” “Slow Hands,” and “The Rover” landing with undiminished force alongside more recent material. They also previewed two new, as-yet-unreleased songs, “See Out Loud” and “Wings on Fire,” a glimpse at what lies ahead. Better known to fans as Madeon, visionary French producer, singer, and songwriter Hugo Pierre Leclercq first went viral at 17 with his “Pop Culture” mashup, which saw him live-mixing samples from 39 different songs on a Novation Launchpad. With his work spreading like wildfire online, Leclercq began touring the world, playing iconic festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza and sharing bills with luminaries like Lady Gaga, who invited him to open a series of arena shows and record together. Leclercq would go on to collaborate with everyone from Coldplay and Ellie Goulding to Muse and Deadmau5, but it was his solo work that earned his biggest accolades, with his 2015 debut, Adventure, garnering rave reviews, and his 2019 follow-up, "Good Faith," debuting at #1 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic chart and earning a Grammy nomination for Best Electronic Album. Leclercq’s new record, "Victory," is a rapturous, multi-media masterpiece that sits at the intersection of punk, indie rock, electro-clash, sci-fi and high fashion. Nathanson Memorial Lecture Series on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 as Professor Hiroshi Motomura discusses "Immigration, Belonging, and the Constitution." Hiroshi Motomura Hiroshi Motomura will deliver the annual Nathaniel L. Nathanson Memorial Lecture. He is the Susan Westerberg Prager Distinguished Professor of Law and Faculty Co-Director of the Miñana Family Center for Immigration Law and Policy at the UCLA School of Law. He is the author of "Borders and Belonging" (Oxford 2025), "Immigration Outside the Law" (Oxford 2014), and "Americans in Waiting" (Oxford 2006). He is also co-author of the casebook, "Immigration and Citizenship" (West 10th ed. 2026). He has received several university teaching awards and is one of 26 U.S. law professors profiled in "What the Best Law Teachers Do" (Harvard 2013). Hiroshi has testified in the US Congress, is a Nonresident Scholar of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and is a member of the International Migration Review editorial board. Hiroshi is also co-host of the podcast, "Unsettled: Immigration in Turbulent Times" and is featured in the Try Guys video, "The Try Guys Try Immigrating to America." In July 2026, he was recognized by the Carnegie Foundation as a Great Immigrant, Great American. "Immigration, Belonging, and the Constitution" It’s convenient but misleading to talk about a constitution as if it governed a closed group of citizens. In this age of migration, the arrival of newcomers and their becoming residents complicate the essential question of “who belongs?” And what is the Constitution’s role in this inquiry?
