The exhibitions will be opening simultaneously with an opening reception on July 1, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at The FRONT Arte y Cultura (147 W. San Ysidro Blvd, 92173) As told by artist Mariel Miranda, “El viento o el polvo, tal vez is an exhibition where I ex- plore speculative fictions at my neighborhood in Tijuana, taking a science fiction work- shop as a point of departure to investigate notions of community, labor, myths, and fu- ture.” Separately, Jon Villanueva’s exhibition, Missouri loves company, is a collection of oil paintings documenting the artists’ navigation through life, and the transition into adult- hood. The collection takes inspiration from the social patterns of human nature. Related links: The Front Arte & Cultura on Instagram
