4th Annual Tecate Horse Rescue Chili Cook-Off & Horse Obstacle Challenge Join Tecate Horse Rescue for its 4th Annual Chili Cook-Off & Horse Obstacle Challenge on Saturday, October 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the rescue’s 100-acre ranch in southeast San Diego County. Spend the day meeting rescued horses and enjoying a family-friendly community event supporting Tecate Horse Rescue’s work to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome at-risk horses. Admission is $15 and includes five chili tastings, a bowl of chili and a drink. Guests can vote for their favorite chili, meet members of the rescue herd, enjoy family activities, take a hay ride and browse the silent auction. Horse-and-rider teams can also participate in the Horse Obstacle Challenge for an additional $15 entry fee, with prizes awarded in the competition. Proceeds benefit the horses and programs of Tecate Horse Rescue, a San Diego County nonprofit providing rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming and equine-assisted programs.
