  • “An t-adh dearg” in Irish, or “the red luck,” is a way of saying you have struck a good thing. An acoustic string trio with roots in Irish and American traditional music, Red Luck formed in good fortune in 2022. With Devon Gardner on fiddle, Moriah Ozberkmen on mandolin, and Ian Alistair on guitar, the band is based in Boston. They can be heard playing energetic arrangements of traditional and original tunes. The trio is bound by a shared love of fiddle tunes and song repertoires from old time, bluegrass, and Irish traditional music. They explore modern arrangements and the continuation of traditional music as a fresh and contemporary medium. After having recorded their debut EP in late 2022, Red Luck has been playing for listening rooms, raucous pubs, and roots music festivals around the United States.
