  • This Tuesday we have another Divergent Improv / Anvil of Hope show made of two never-before-seen teams of improvisers from across San Diego and Los Angeles! Admission is free with a recommended donation to the non-profit Anvil of Hope. This show we have author Sarah Flocken (@sarahflockenwrites) who will be reading excerpts from her book "Be Well" and sharing stories about her life and author experiences to provide inspiration for the improvisers’ scenes! Sarah Flocken is an author who writes unhinged fiction for the silently enraged. Publishers Weekly has said her debut novel "Be Well," which is set in 2009 during the aftermath of the Great Recession, “provides laugh-out-loud moments in an era known for its bleakness.” She is also a public relations professional, comedian, improviser, and pun contest host (yes, it’s a thing) with performance credits worldwide.   • As the number of new cancer cases in males continues to rise, Scripps Cancer Center will host a free men’s cancer support group on Wednesday July 15 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.. Open to men of all ages and all types of cancer diagnoses, the group will provide a safe space for sharing experiences and offering mutual support.   • Anthony Cullins is a guitarist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist from Fallbrook, California. Anthony's musical influences include R&B, funk, soul, rock, jazz, and blues prominently displayed in his eclectic improvisational style he calls "psychedelic soul music", ranging from Eddie Hazel and Jeff Beck to George Benson and Eric Johnson with dozens of influences in between. Anthony won "Best Blues Artist" in the 2023 and 2024 San Diego Music Awards and "Artist of the Year" in the 2025 San Diego Music Awards. He is working on two studio albums, and has begun to tour in London, Norway, and all over the states. The Library's Summer Concerts offer the perfect midday musical escape in the Winn Room. This concert is free to attend thanks to the support of the City of Coronado and the Friends of the Coronado Public Library. Seating is first come, first seated and doors will open at 12:45 p.m.
  • Crown City Chorale and Musica Vitale invite everyone to the 5th annual Coronado Community Summer Sing-Along! Come sing songs and enjoy a morning of music. Sing songs from Broadway musicals, movies and plays, famous tunes by Neil Young, Joni Mitchel, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, ABBA, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beatles as well as patriotic songs and Navy hymns, and much more!
