  • Step behind the Library curtains and enter a world of holiday cheer with a Wicked twist. Now through November 30, Draft Republic at North City, San Marcos has been transformed into a limited-time speakeasy inspired by the magic of the Emerald City. Savor enchanting bites and beverages that blend festive flavors with a touch of mischief. Guests can sip cocktails that draw from the world of Oz, from the glowing green Sorcery Sling to the vibrant Popular Pink Punch, along with favorites such as the OZ Dust Margarita and the OZmopolitan. Spirit free picks include the Swankified Mocktail and Galinda’s Juice. To complement the drinks, the kitchen will be serving up themed bites such as Wicked Wings, Popular Pink Pasta, The Salad of Oz, and the Bad Witch Smash Burger. Younger guests can also enjoy Draft Republic’s full kids menu. The pop up is open Monday through Friday 4 p.m. until close and Saturdays and Sundays it is open 11:30 a.m. through close.   • St. Paul’s will host a drop-off donation drive to support S.P.E.N.D. (St. Paul’s Essential Needs Drive) on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Paul’s Conference Center, 2557 Third Ave, San Diego, CA 92103. The community is asked to bring new, unopened essential items, including toothbrushes/toothpaste, blankets, and socks, to directly support vulnerable older adults served by St. Paul’s PACE across San Diego County. St. Paul’s S.P.E.N.D. shines a light on the growing gap between a seniors’ fixed income and the rising cost of living, and channels community support into the most-needed everyday items. Thousands of older adults in San Diego County live below the actual cost of living and struggle to cover basics like housing, food, and medications. Many do not meet federal poverty thresholds and go without essential living items. Donations through S.P.E.N.D. help close that gap for the seniors in St. Paul’s care this winter.   • Celebrate the season by the water as Hilton San Diego Bayfront transforms into a coastal winter escape filled with sparkling lights, waterfront cheer, and festive moments for all ages. From November 14 through December 8, Father Joe’s Villages hosts its 2nd Annual Holiday Villages at the Bayfront: A Cause to Celebrate, showcasing beautifully decorated Christmas trees and sharing the organization’s impact across San Diego. Throughout December, guests and locals can enjoy a lineup of signature holiday happenings, including pictures with Santa (Saturday, December 6, 4-7 p.m.) and storytime with Mrs. Claus (Saturday, December 6, 6-7 p.m.), live carolers fill the air with classic holiday tunes from 4-6 p.m. Guests can also enjoy breakfast with Santa (Sunday, December 7, 9-11 a.m.) at Hudson & Nash, where families can share a meal (and a wish) with Santa himself. On display daily, a life-sized gingerbread house will be decked out in a San Diego-style theme. During the visit, children can craft a letter to Santa from November 29 to December 25 and leave it in the magic mailbox, which delivers it directly to the North Pole.
