Teens will learn about the use of hand tools as well as tools and machinery in the woodshop through hands-on, skill-building projects. Topics covered will include properties of wood, best practices, safety and creative expression in woodworking. This camp is recommended for teens, ages 13+ years. If you’d like your child or teen to stay during the lunch hour, there’s a $25 fee for the week to cover the lunchtime gap. Does your child love to create characters? Do they love bringing things to life? In this 1-week camp, kids will learn to build their own unique professional furry monster puppet. Afterward, they will learn basic puppetry techniques and rehearse a puppet show with puppet karaoke, jokes and fun skits. Kids will also help build a cardboard stage for the show. And, the whole family is invited for a one-of-a-kind performance with puppets during the last half-hour of camp on Friday! This camp is recommend for children ages 8-12 years.
