Our 21st concert season concludes with a special treat, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto in B-flat Major. The soloist is David Savage, PSO’s Principal Bassoonist and one of San Diego’s most accomplished woodwind musicians. Mozart’s concerto is a rare gem, full of expressive range and technical brilliance that requires a true professional. Mr. Savage brings exactly the artistry and experience this piece demands. Summer Camp, happening June 9–14, 2025. Campers will spend five days at Montgomery Middle School in Linda Vista learning instruments, writing songs, and forming bands, all leading up to a live performance of their original music at Music Box in Downtown San Diego on Saturday, June 14 at 11 a.m. Friends, family, and community members of all ages are invited to experience the energy and creativity of the campers at this exciting showcase. It's that "berry" special time of the year in Vista! Join us for the 14th Annual Vista Strawberry Fest all day Sunday, May 25. Kick-Start your summer time fun in San Diego County at our free, family friendly event. North City is kicking off its summer outdoor movie night series with a free screening of Disney’s "Toy Story" on Friday, June 13. This movie night invites the whole community to come together for an elevated family experience with great food, shared moments, and summer outdoor fun. Tuesdays, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. February 4–25 (4 Weeks, 12 total hours of instruction) AAC Art Studio Experience the fun in “fun-ctional” ceramics! Learn and develop your hand-building pottery skills with three projects, such as a set of nesting plates, a berry bowl, and your own custom mug. Each class will introduce a new project to work on, which will require practicing different techniques to get to the final assembled piece. The last class will be reserved for glazing all the work produced during the class. At the class's completion, you will take home your glazed projects, finished and ready to be used. Beginning to intermediate students are welcome. Materials: The materials fee includes clay, glazes, firings, and the use of basic tools. It is recommended that students bring an apron and a hand towel for cleanup, as well as a notebook and pencil to write down instructions and sketch ideas.
