  • The “Pleasure of Your Company” music series will present the San Diego Chamber Music Society performing "From Beethoven to Broadway, Music for Horn and Piano" on Sunday, June 18, at 2:30 PM at the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library Center. The French horn/piano duo of Bruce Dorcy and Beverly Reese Dorcy will perform selections from famous composers of the past including Beethoven, Mozart, Strauss, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saens and Cherubini plus 20th century American composers like Burt Bacharach, Mitch Leigh, Jerry Bock and Henry Mancini—something for everyone to enjoy. There will be an interesting dialogue about the pieces and composers and perhaps an amusing anecdote or two. Come enjoy chamber music at its best in the intimate setting of the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library Center! There is no charge for the concert, although donations are appreciated. Masks may be required for all audience members regardless of immunization status. Scripps Miramar Ranch Library Center is located at 10301 Scripps Lake Drive near Miramar Lake. Overflow parking is available on Meanley Drive off Scripps Ranch Blvd. Call (858) 538-8158 or visit www.srfol.org for more information.

  • From the museum: Nan Coffey is a San Diego based artist with a background in animation. She has developed a stylized design aesthetic and freeform methods to promote connectivity, inclusivity, and love while drawing inspiration from her childhood obsessions with cinema, music, television, and pop culture. Her style, which she calls “Art All Over,” makes use of surfaces that extend beyond the traditional canvas. In her signature bold and dynamic designs, she takes advantage of the entire surface of her chosen canvas, at times painting motifs that span hundreds of square feet.
