Set in Olivewood’s vibrant spring garden, this signature fundraising event on May 31st will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will celebrate a decade and a half of transformative work in nutrition education, environmental stewardship, and health equity—while raising vital support to further grow that impact. Olivewood invites guests to indulge in a farm-to-table 'forage & feast' experience curated by esteemed chefs, Olivewood Kitchenistas and Garden 2 Kitchen Interns, brewers, distillers, vintners, and cocktail makers from across San Diego County.   • May the Fourth be with you at this one-day-only galactic celebration in the heart of San Marcos. North City is joining forces with local businesses and Craft Collective—a San Diego–based nonprofit dedicated to hands-on arts programming—to host a family-friendly event filled with pop culture, creativity, and community connection. Rumors suggest that emissaries from a well-organized galactic force will also be stopping by. This all-ages event blends hands-on fun with a bit of cosmic flair—perfect for families, fans, and curious adventurers alike. Expect surprise appearances from a galaxy far, far away, interactive inflatables and games, and themed food and drinks from North City restaurants. Kids can get creative at the Padawan Crafting Academy, where they’ll build lightsabers and fold origami droids under the guidance of Craft Collective (suggested donation). Adventurers can also take on the Jedi Training Grounds, featuring a bounce house and interactive space-themed games. The North City Cantina will feature galactic-inspired menu items, and guests can pick up a Galactic Passport to collect stamps from participating businesses and enter to win raffle prizes.   • The Secret Garden Tour of La Jolla offers a rare invitation for the public to stroll behind the gates of some of La Jolla’s loveliest secluded gardens. While the garden locations remain a closely guarded secret until the day of the tour, there will be six spectacular La Jolla properties with beautiful views and unique settings that make this tour unlike any other. Each garden experience is enhanced with live musicians, plein air artists, and tabletop designs created by talented local florists and designers. There are two ways to experience the Secret Garden Tour: Self-Guided or the popular Platinum Tour, which includes a 7th garden, catered lunch, and docent-led shuttle service to the gardens. - Self-Guided Tour from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Platinum Tour from 9:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. All ticket types sold out in 2024, so be sure to purchase early!
