The 4th Annual La Jolla Sky Show returns on July 4, 2026, lighting up the skies above La Jolla Cove with 500 synchronized drones in celebration of America’s 250th birthday. Choreographed to live music and free for the public to enjoy, the show can be viewed from beaches, parks, and scenic overlooks throughout La Jolla. Produced in partnership with Drone Studios, the environmentally friendly aerial display offers a quieter alternative to traditional fireworks with no debris left behind. What began as a community gathering has grown into one of San Diego’s most anticipated Independence Day traditions, made possible through local support and sponsorship.

Presented in partnership with Show Boss Productions, the festivities begin at 4 p.m. with a ceremonial Presentation of the Colors, followed by the San Diego Salute Formation Flyover soaring above the Oceanside Pier. Featuring vintage Beechcraft T-34 military trainer aircraft, the historic flyover serves as a powerful tribute to the service, sacrifice, and spirit that have shaped the nation over the last 250 years. From patriotic moments in the sky to poolside cocktails, DJs, and rooftop views throughout the day, The Rooftop Bar offers a front-row seat to one of the coast’s most memorable Independence Day celebrations.
