You are invited to join us for “United By Yarn / Unidos Por El Estambre: A Celebration of Textile Art and Community Connection!” Embrace the beauty of fiber arts with a collaborative initiative brought to you by San Diego Craft Collective, Visions Museum of Textile Art, and Songbirds Music. This engaging project will support community-created yarn bombing projects for all three organizations and is set against the backdrop of VMOTA’s upcoming exhibition, “Latine: Entretejida / Interwoven” (May 11 to October 5, 2024). Come and contribute to the creation of community art, celebrating the diverse and rich textile heritage of the San Diego / Tijuana region! We’ll provide the yarn and tools . You provide your creative magic! Don’t know how to crochet or knit? We’ll have fiber mentors to help you learn & create! We will be using acrylic yarn (so it will withstand the outdoor weather for our installations) and will have crochet hooks available, while supplies last.
