Fair FAQ's for first time visitors: - Over 125 Hand-picked vendors from across Southern California, with everything from handmade jewelry, soaps, paintings and sculpture, local honey, clothing, pottery, items for the home and garden and much more! - Outside wine bars are located throughout the winery grounds - Grab and go Italian fare from the Kitchen restaurant in the courtyard - There is a food court located on the East side of the fair - The permanent winery village shops are also open during the fair - Manzanita Roasting Co coffee shop open at 8 a.m. - Please do not attend the fair if you are ill - Plenty of seating is available for enjoying wine and food across the winery. - Admission is free. Families are welcome! - No pets are permitted on winery grounds. No exceptions. The Carlsbad Oceanside Art League is pleased to announce a call for art for its upcoming youth art exhibition, “Inspire”. It is the 27th annual youth art exhibition and will be showcasing the talents and creativity of young artists from the San Diego County area. The exhibition, titled "Inspire," will feature a variety of artwork, including paintings, drawings, and mixed media pieces, all created by talented young artists aged 8-18. The "Inspire" exhibition represents one of the organization's missions to encourage and support the creative expression of young artists in our community. The exhibition is a testament to the incredible talent and dedication of these young artists, who have poured their hearts and souls into their work. A hosted reception will be on May 13, 2023, between 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Gallery located at 300 Carlsbad Village Dr. Suite 101. Awards and refreshments will be served and free to the public. Stained glass is unusual among the arts because of its direct relationship with light. When light passes through colored glass, different values, textures, and densities combine to form an extraordinary palette. Explore this magic by creating your own unique leaded stained-glass panel. In this 7-week course, you will learn from stained glass professional Lisa Maywood as you complete one or more 2-dimensional panels that will transform any room or space. The enrollment fee covers the cost of basic drawing materials, lead, solder, cement, and the use of the tools and machinery. Glass will be procured by each student on their own outside of class. Blue Dolphin Glass is a great local source in San Diego. If you prefer your own supplies, please bring your own colored pencils and paper that is larger than 12″x12″ to the first class as you plan your project(s). It is also recommended that you bring your own safety gear (eye protection, dust mask, gloves). We have eye protection available if you do not have your own. There is no prerequisite for this class. The Military Spouse Association of Camp Pendleton (MSACP) is a non-profit, all-volunteer, service organization, committed to helping our military families and surrounding communities. We are planning our 2024 fundraiser and want to personally invite you to join us! Our 24th Annual Margaritaville Benefit & Auction will take place on March 16, 2024 at Pacific Views Event Center, located aboard Camp Pendleton at 202850, San Jacinto Rd, Oceanside, CA 92058. Margaritaville is a live and silent auction and includes live entertainment, dinner, and opportunity giveaways. This event is attended by over 200 Senior Leadership, Marines, Sailors, their significant others and families, and local business leaders. Each year, the MSACP raises funds to provide college scholarships for military dependents stationed aboard or living near Camp Pendleton. The MSACP also awards Community Enrichment Grants to local organizations and projects that support our military families. Organizations include Semper Fi Fund, Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego, Dogs on Deployment, United through Reading, and more. All proceeds from the Benefit & Auction directly fund these efforts. The Benefit & Auction has been widely successful through generous sponsorships and donations by people and organizations such as you! We were thrilled to award over $190,000 in scholarships and grants over the last 3 years! We hope to see you there.
