Shop from the brand’s bestsellers and newest fashions while enjoying Layover’s special cocktail created for the collaborative event, the Bayside Blushin’, a refreshing pink guava slushie made with Silver tequila, triple sec, guava nectar, lime, with Tajin rim. 25% from every Bayside Blushin’ cocktail sold at Layover and 10% of all LoveShackFancy sales will be donated to local nonprofit My Girlfriend’s Closet, that collects quality, gently used clothing, shoes and accessories and distributes these items to foster, homeless and economically disadvantaged teenage girls and young women. Clothing donations will also be accepted during the event for any new or lightly-worn clothing. Every Saturday through October 5 from 3-6 p.m., Layover will welcome a talented selection of local artists who will provide the soundtrack for your summer, performing at the rooftop lounge.   • Join San Diego Botanic Garden at its highly anticipated Summer Nights, every Thursday from July 11 through August 29. Enjoy extended hours at the Garden until 8pm and a diverse selection of special events, performances, and concerts available as add-ons to make your evening at the Garden even more memorable. On July 18th, Join Mindy Donner as she presents, Stories of Strength and Resilience in the Bamboo Garden. The stories share lessons about strength in the face of adversity and the sustainability of cultures over time. You will meet young and old heroes as Mindy skillfully performs multiple characters that include dragons, villains, royalty, and seemingly ordinary folks in her one-woman performance. This outdoor performance takes place in the Bamboo Garden. Please allow yourself 20 minutes from the parking lot to arrive at the Bamboo Garden. A limited shuttle will take attendees up to the venue. Friday, September 1 from 4 – 6 p.m. Learn your way around a sewing machine, unleash your creativity and bring out your inner super hero by sewing a fun super hero cape this imaginative month of cosplay and costumes! In this fun and interactive class, you will learn basic sewing techniques as experienced sewing teacher and fashion designer, Tracey Herriot, guides you through essential sewing techniques. Each student will choose their own design by selecting the color, pattern, and style of your superhero cape. Whether you prefer bold and vibrant or sleek and mysterious, the choice is yours! Students will cut, sew, attach fastenings, add unique elements, such as symbols, initials or special emblems that reflect your super hero identity. No prior sewing experience is required, as this class is designed for all skill levels. All you need is a passion for superheroes and a desire to create something extraordinary! Bring your own sewing machine or borrow one of ours. No experience necessary. All skill levels welcome. Ages 10 years & younger must be accompanied by an adult.
