At this event, meet nonfiction filmmaker Sara Dosa, the director of Academy Award nominated film "Fire of Love," which premiered at Sundance 2022, was acquired by National Geographic Films and nominated for over 40 awards worldwide. The lecture will take place in the Mosaic Building, auditorium #113, located in Sixth College within the North Torrey Pines Living and Learning Neighborhood. The event is free and open to all, and attendees are encouraged to RSVP About the Event Hosts | The Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts developed with a gift from the Israni Family in honor of their late son Suraj. An aspiring filmmaker, Suraj understood the way film has the capacity to inspire social change. After his passing, his family is ensuring their son’s legacy will be carried forward with an endowment commitment that established the Suraj Israni Center for Cinematic Arts at UC San Diego, within the School of Arts and Humanities.
