  • Join us for the 13th Annual Vista Strawberry Festival on Sunday, May 26th, Memorial Day Weekend! Start your day with a 5K run at 7:30 a.m. Enter the costume contest and participate in the strawberry pie eating contest at Noon or the Strawberry Ice Cream Sundae eating contest at 1:30 p.m. There will be live music and entertainment, on four stages, a beer garden, a food court with a wide variety of menus and a street fair filled with vendors of all types.   • Fiber Fest Upcycling & Mending Fun! We are excited to offer this fun workshop for Fiber Fest! Join us for a morning of creative mending in good company. Come learn simple hand sewing techniques in order to turn your damaged clothing items into a one-of-a-kind garments. In this 2-hour class with upcycling sewist Keira McGee, you will practice hand sewing stitches and have the opportunity to repair a piece of your own clothing. Please be prepared with an item or two from your closet that are in need of some mending. We suggest items such as jeans and button down shirts, but feel free to bring several options. All other materials will be provided by the instructor. This class is appropriate for ages 14 years and older. All materials included. This workshop is part of Craft Collective’s first-ever Fiber Fest! You’re invited to join in the festivities the day before, on Saturday, June 8th, for a day filled with fiber fun!   • Cool down on a summer evening and come to North City for a free movie night showcasing Disney’s "Frozen." On Friday, June 7, movie lovers are invited to gather at North City’s plaza to watch the family-favorite movie and enjoy special appearances from themed movie characters, Elsa and Anna. The fun kicks off with games, family activities, and themed character meet-and-greets at 5 p.m., followed by the movie screening at 6:30 p.m. Limited seating will be available, but everyone is encouraged to bring low chairs and blankets to create a cozy movie viewing experience in the open air pop-up theater.
