Join us for an introspective death awareness experience that will take you through the last months of your life as you prepare for death and have to say goodbye to loved ones, possessions, personal goals and dreams, and daily activities that bring you joy. Our guided meditative experience walks you through the last months of your life where you'll need to prioritize what is truly important to you and then come face to face with saying goodbye to the people, places and things that bring meaning to your everyday life. Once you've said your final goodbye, our end-of-life doulas will tend to your body as our ancestors did by wrapping you in a burial shroud where you'll be able to contemplate the experience of death in a safe, protective cocoon. Create a unique Bandsaw Box! September 7, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Bandsaw boxes are beginner-friendly and have a variety of uses. Once you make one you can make many! In this one-day workshop, students will create a box made from a single block of wood using the bandsaw. We will cover shop safety and methods for cutting and gluing your box. Students will also learn sanding best practices and how to achieve a perfect finish using beeswax. We welcome all makers, from beginners to advanced. Materials are provided. We recommend students bring your own eye protection, ear protection & apron. Aprons for sale here. No experience necessary. Ages 18+ welcome. Students are welcome to bring a lunch or snack for a short break mid-class.
