This workshop is designed to teach students the basics of woodworking and shop safety, and serves as a strong foundation for further exploration in woodworking. In addition to what you make, our goal is for you to leave feeling more comfortable operating machinery and working in a shop environment. Students will make a cutting board, and through that process, learn how to safely use the miter saw, jointer, planer, table saw, drill press, router; as well as how to use clamps, glue up, and apply finish to their pieces. This class is a prerequisite for Wood Open Studio and recommended for further woodworking classes to establish safe practices in our studio. Materials provided. Stay Connected on Social Media!
