Learn: We will talk about the history of miso, its many different forms, and then make a large batch using various legumes. Taste: You’ll get to taste various misos to understand the fermentation process. Do: You’ll get to pack a mason jar full of miso to take home (but you’ll have to wait a year to eat it)! Harryhausen was a master animator and special effects creator who produced stop-motion animation effects known as "dynamation," in which characters interact with the live-action world. The evening features a dialogue between Laurie Black and Ms. Coburn as she kicks off her national book tour for "The Girls of the Glimmer Factory." The story set in Theresienstadt, the Nazi "model" concentration camp, where a choir composed of prisoners used music as a form of resistance, survival, and hope. Surrounding this deeply moving conversation is a soulful performance by America’s Got Talent Golden-Buzzer winner Voices of Our City Choir: a creative community for artists impacted by homelessness.
