While this 18th century opera is a highly romanticized and naive take on the historical events of over 200 years earlier, it nevertheless is surprisingly sensitive and empathetic to the tragedy of the Aztecs as they fight for their land and the survival of their culture and people. 28th Annual Fiesta de Los Penasquitos Since 1995, the annual “Fiesta de Los Peñasquitos” street fair has become the annual community highlight event in Rancho Peñasquitos, attracting visitors from all over San Diego and beyond.
