The “Pleasure of Your Company” concert series, sponsored by Scripps Ranch Friends of the Library welcomes the Redwood Trio on Sunday, November 19, at 2:30 P.M. Comprised of violinist Lauren Basney, cellist Peter Ko, and pianist Dr. Byron Chow, the trio will perform works by Bach, Tchaikovsky, and Shostakovich. The Redwood Trio aims to bring a fresh perspective to the concert stage in performing both traditional repertoire and lesser-known works for the combination of piano, violin, and cello. Join us for an afternoon of beautiful chamber music performed in the intimate setting of the Scripps Miramar Ranch Library Center. There is no charge for the concert, although donations are appreciated. Masks are encouraged but not currently required. Perez is passionate about using his post as Poet Laureate to demystify poetry and help people access the tools to express themselves through it. Thus, he will host a pop-up Poetry Lab where guests may mingle with him, watch (or join) him composing in action, and explore his other works on display. His time with us will culminate in a performance, perhaps even including a collaborative piece created during our event!
