We are thrilled to announce that San Diego's Poet Laureate, Jason Magabo Perez, will join us as both a guest studio artist and guest performer at our next Open Studios on Saturday, June 10 from 4:00-8:00 PM!
Perez is passionate about using his post as Poet Laureate to demystify poetry and help people access the tools to express themselves through it. Thus, he will host a pop-up Poetry Lab where guests may mingle with him, watch (or join) him composing in action, and explore his other works on display.
His time with us will culminate in a performance, perhaps even including a collaborative piece created during our event!
As usual, most of our other visual arts studios will be open, and other S4A musicians will also perform. Please visit our website closer to June 10 for an updated schedule of activities and performances, or subscribe to our e-news.
