Back for another unforgettable season, The Marine Room’s Summer High Tide Dinner Series returns on June 23 and continues monthly through August 22, inviting guests to experience the beauty of La Jolla’s coastline as waves, driven by the moon’s gravitational pull, surge and crash against the restaurant’s floor-to-ceiling windows. Guests can reserve an early Rising Tide Dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and enjoy the start of the waves paired with either a limited à la carte menu or a three-course dinner crafted by Executive Chef Ananda Bareño for $125 per person. For those seeking the most dramatic views of the evening, the High Tide Dinner begins at 7 p.m. with a specially curated four-course menu by Chef Ananda Bareño, served as the waves reach their peak, and includes live music and a sunset toast for $165 per person. Guests may also upgrade to the Chef’s Table Experience for $250 per person, which includes a sommelier-paired wine experience, additional courses, a visit from the chef, and a take-home gift. San Diego's finest annual cycling event across the Coronado Bridge and around the bay! Ride the bridge, Bike the Bay for the annual ride on Sunday, August 24, 2025! Cruise around San Diego Bay and enjoy your only opportunity to ride across the San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge. This non-competitive community bike ride is for riders of all abilities and will take you on a scenic, and primarily flat ride, around the San Diego Bay via the Bayshore Bikeway. Along the way, riders will travel through the surrounding cities of Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista, and National City before finishing back at the start/finish line at Embarcadero Marina Park in downtown San Diego. Not only will the scenic 25-mile route travel through all five of these very diverse communities but it will also allow riders their only opportunity of the year to ride over the beautiful Coronado Bay Bridge. Known for their sophisticated interpretations of the American popular songbook and jazz standards, their performances are often highlighted by Charlap’s elegant and nuanced piano playing, Peter Washington’s solid and melodic bass lines, and Kenny Washington’s sensitive and swinging drumming. A notable performance aspect is their deep musical rapport and intuitive interplay, honed over decades of collaboration. Their latest recording, "And Then Again," released in 2024 on Blue Note Records, was captured live at the Village Vanguard and showcases their continued evolution with inspired renditions of classics and compositions by jazz masters like Kenny Barron. The Bill Charlap Trio has received multiple GRAMMY Award nominations for albums such as "Somewhere: The Songs of Leonard Bernstein" and "The Bill Charlap Trio: Live at the Village Vanguard."
