  • "Lend Me a Soprano" is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy, set in 1934 when glamour, egos, and high notes rule the opera world. The Cleveland Opera Company is buzzing with anticipation for a sold-out performance starring their internationally renowned diva. But when the temperamental soprano finally arrives (hours late) she brings with her a jealous husband, a fiery personality, and enough drama to rival anything happening onstage. As tempers flare and misunderstandings spiral out of control, the company’s carefully planned evening begins to unravel in spectacular fashion. With doors slamming, disguises flying, and identities constantly mistaken, the women step into the spotlight in this hilarious, high-energy twist on Ken Ludwig’s classic farce "Lend Me a Tenor." A sparkling screwball comedy where the stakes are high, the egos are higher, and the laughs come at a breakneck pace. By the final curtain, audiences will be wiping away tears -not from tragedy, but from pure, unstoppable laughter. • San Diego’s original fine art festival, Mission Fed ArtWalk, will fill the streets of San Diego’s Little Italy district with more than 250 fine artists, four music stages, interactive art for families, food and fun, Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, 2026. This year, the 42nd annual event will bring a weekend-long celebration of arts and culture to San Diego’s Little Italy. Mission Fed ArtWalk attracts 100,000 art collectors and visitors from all over the country to purchase art from established and emerging artists during the two-day festival. The event features artists from every medium of art, including painting, sculpture, glass work, photography, fine jewelry and more. After browsing and purchasing one-of-a-kind works of art, directly from the artists, attendees can enjoy four stages of live music, interactive art experiences, street food, family-friendly art projects at KidsWalk and more. This spring tradition is brought to San Diego by the same team that brings ArtWalk @ Liberty Station to the ARTS DISTRICT at Liberty Station (this year, Aug. 1-2, 2026) and ArtWalk Carlsbad to North County (Sept. 19-20, 2026), along with the fourth year of their newest event, Bella Vita Fest – a mix of chalk art and Italian wine (October 2026). Each of ArtWalk San Diego’s festivals support their non-profit partner, ArtReach San Diego, an organization aimed at increasing equity in visual arts education in schools throughout San Diego County by delivering free or low-cost workshops to schools that have no other resources for art, focusing on Title One Schools. Many of the programs ArtReach offers are provided at no cost to schools. For more information on ArtWalk San Diego and its programs, visit www.artwalksandiego.org.
