Nemorino loves Adina, who mocks his infatuation. When Sergeant Belcore arrives to court Adina, Nemorino finds a solution as Dr. Dulcamara comes to town peddling his potions. Dulcamara sells the unsuspecting Nemorino an Elixir of Love, which is just wine. Can the elixir work some magic after all?
