On December 11, the wild animal rescue and education facility will celebrate with an afternoon of enriching animal activities at its annual “Christmas with the Animals.” The highly anticipated Christmas with the Animals Fundraiser is a guided visit where guests watch the lions, tigers and other rescued cats open their Christmas presents stuffed with treats. Families can find out which animals were naughty or nice at this special edition of the regularly scheduled 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. guided visits at Lions Tigers & Bears. During this afternoon event, guests will encounter exotic animals that have been rescued and given forever homes in the wide-open habitats in Alpine. The animals residing at Lions Tigers & Bears include retired circus animals, survivors of inhumane photo and petting opportunities, and abandoned and illegally owned big cats. Ticket prices, with all proceeds going to the nonprofit’s animals’ care and upkeep, are: members, $30 for adults and $15 for kids, and nonmembers are $60 for adults and $35 for kids. All proceeds benefit the rescued animals, providing food, enrichment, habitat maintenance, veterinary care and more. The events will happen rain or shine.
