In 2023 Kamau won an Emmy for his HBO documentary "1000% Me: Growing Up Mixed." He also won a Peabody Award for his 2022 Showtime docu-series "We Need to Talk About Cosby." He is the co-author of the New York Times bestselling book "Do the Work: An Antiracist Activity Book" and the author of "The Awkward Thoughts of W. Kamau Bell: Tales of a 6' 4", African American, Heterosexual, Cisgender, Left-Leaning, Asthmatic, Black and Proud Blerd, Mama’s Boy, Dad, and Stand-Up Comedian." In March of 2025, Kamau will have a chapter in bestselling author Michael Lewis’ new book "Who is Government?" It is based on Kamau’s Washington Post article and short documentary, "The Rookie." Kamau’s last comedy special, "Private School Negro," is available on Netflix. Kamau is on the board of directors for DonorsChoose, a nonprofit that helps teachers raise money for class projects, and Live Free, a nonprofit dedicated to ending gun violence, mass incarceration, and mass criminalization. Kamau is also the ACLU’s Artist Ambassador for Racial Justice and hosts the ACLU podcast "At Liberty.” In 2023, Kamau and his wife Melissa Hudson Bell co-founded Who Knows Best Productions, a media production company based in Oakland, CA.   • Louis Tomlinson is a singer and songwriter from Doncaster, UK. As a member of One Direction, Louis was a part of one of the biggest musical groups of all time. Now solo, Louis is following his heart musically. Louis' debut solo album "Walls," released in 2020, saw huge international success and sold over 1.5 million copies. In 2022, Louis went onto release his second solo album "Faith In The Future" which saw continued success achieving #1 in the U.K, Spain and Belgium along with Top 5 in the U.S, Germany and Australia which was followed by the announcement of a global tour spanning 98 stadiums and arenas. 2023 saw the release of Louis' highly anticipated documentary film "All Of Those Voices," a film that documented his transition from a member of One Direction to a solo stadium artist, capturing the challenges and triumphs that were defining his new musical path.   • Paul Simon is coming to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park! The legendary singer-songwriter has announced plans for a US and Canada summer tour as he extends his "A Quiet Celebration Tour," following a highly successful and critically acclaimed US tour last year. The experience was so encouraging that Simon was inspired to expand and play in some of the best outdoor summer venues in North America.  The show will be in two parts, opening with the performance of the Grammy-nominated masterpiece Seven Psalms. This beautiful 33-minute continuous piece of music was heralded by the press worldwide – Variety called it "Quietly stunning...unlike any other Simon album" and Rock Cellar hailed it as “a stunning achievement from an artist with a career full of them.” After a brief intermission, the show will resume with Simon performing many of his greatest hits and many deep cuts celebrating the breadth of his career.  The tour will begin on June 4 in Palo Alto, CA with dates at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in San Diego, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, Tanglewood in Lenox, MA, Forest Hills Stadium in Forest Hills, NY and ending at Ravinia in Highland Park, IL July 18.
